Preparing your mix before sending it

Before you bounce or mixdown for mastering it is very important to follow the following points to achieve the highest sound quality.

1. During mixing notes that no track reaches the clip

2. Dynamic range: do not apply any compressor or limiter to the final mix, because I need the maximum dynamic range to work. I'll take care of the volume needed to give your music.

3. Other effects:removes any EQ, dithering, exciter and generally any effect you have inserted into the channel mix, as each may introduce distortion and artifacts. During the mastering process I will take care to apply these processes to reach the best solution.

4. Peak level: the mix  should not exceeded - 3dB at any time. You can ensure this looking that the peak meter on the track output of your multitrack in any case not exceed this value. Under no circumstances use normalization.

5. Ideally file format to send me the files is wav or aiff with at least 44100 Hz quality and 16 bits. Do not mix in mp3 or wma formats as they are lowering the file size by sacrificing audio quality.
