What is included in the mastering service?

  • Listening the mix to ensure that it meets minimum quality and it not have any serious problems
  • Recommendations on possible improvements in the mix (in case needed)
  • Technical analysis eliminating offset and noise, if any
  • Normalize the wave and put it in my mastering equipment
  • Equalization and multiband compressor to achieve that each frequency is in the right amount and controlled
  • Adjusting of the stereo image mix and proceed to make a “fine” equalization to make the music sound as “pretty” as possible

Also, if it is an album consisting of several songs, I make the following tasks to get a uniform result for optimal listening:

  • Leveling sound volume and other characteristics among tracks.
  • Find the optimal duration of silence between tracks for better listening.
  • Touch the volume of inputs and outputs of each track to optimize the listening experience.
  • Construction and retouching of the fade-in and fade-out for each track.
  • If the customer asks, I also study which may be the best song order, or I can decide which songs to include and what not.
  • If the customer requests it, I can make a CD Master with the proper format for industrial duplication including ISRC, UPC / EAN codes.
